chapter 4

After waiting forever for the English sub of the fourth episode, I realized that it was going to take a while and I was running out of patience. So, I just watched the one on Youtube with okay-ish English subtitle. But hey, it was better than nothing (and it’s not like as if my English is any better). I appreciate each and every subber’s hard work. Fighting!

So,  this episode we get a love rival. Let’s recap. (Spoilers, obv.)

The episode starts with a cute encounter that re-establishes Frame and Book’s relationship. I’m assuming that this will be used in some future episode for more romance fodder.

Then, we see all the boys having lunch at the cafeteria. All of a sudden, Tee just waltzes in like he owns the place (he does) and not just takes the chair but drags it and sits besides Fuse as if they are already dating (slowly getting there). Obviously, everyone is intrigued but Tee isn’t afraid and confesses openly that he likes Fuse and wants to go to his house later (although, he does say later that he was kidding but of course, that’s a lie). I’m really happy to see such a positive portrayal of gay relationship and the fact that their friends are so open and accepting of it on television. I believe that this will definitely help a lot for the next generation to feel that much more empowered to truly love who they want.

Anyway, during this whole thing, Fuse protests feebly but inside, we know that he likes Tee and wants all of this to happen. How do we know this? Well, when the bell rings and it’s time to go home, he straight away runs to Tee and asks him to go home together. And at his house, we see a cute montage of them being cute and doing cute things together. Again, Tee confesses that he’s very happy when he’s with Fuse. Fuse, as usual, remains silent (but happy). And then, they are about to kiss BUT at the same moment Fuse’s damn sister opens the room and interrupts them! I haven’t been more disappointed in my life.

Then, the morning after, we get introduced to Tee’s love rival – Rodtang*. Tee and Fuse are late (after having lots of sex? :P) and meet Rod in the punishment zone. Rod openly flirts with Fuse (I don’t know whether Fuse realizes this or not) and Tee isn’t impressed. Even though Rod is cute and I live for Tee’s side-eyes, let’s just be clear that this is a #teamteeandfuse story and that’s how the story should end. Okay?

But, this clearly doesn’t stop Rod. He is very enterprising and uses every opportunity available to flirt with Fuse. While he is practicing in the music room, he sees Fuse and calls him to participate. They seem to have a good time and make a video of them singing together and being all touchy-touchy. Needless to say, I didn’t like that part. Stay away from him! The episode ends with Rod looking at the recorded video and being all happy. I’m definitely excited to see where this plot will go.

*Okay, I have to come clean here. In the first episode I got pretty confused with Rod and Tee. I thought that Rod was Tee and of course, Tee was also Tee. And I only realized this now that Rod wasn’t Tee but was instead Rod. Geddit? Lol.
